About

PreNUDGE-CY — Data-Driven Health Prevention for Children and Young People

Our Vision

PreNUDGE-YC aims to improve the long-term health of children and adolescents by collecting and responsibly using structured, self-reported, and digital health data. By strengthening early prevention and health literacy from a young age, we help young people develop healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Health foundations are built early

Many chronic diseases in adulthood are rooted in behaviors and conditions that begin in childhood and adolescence—such as physical inactivity, poor nutrition, sleep problems, stress, and mental health challenges. Early, data-supported prevention is key to increasing healthy life years.

Prevention programs often miss young people

Although prevention services exist, they are often:

  • not tailored to children’s and adolescents’ needs,

  • fragmented across schools, healthcare, and families,

  • insufficiently engaging for young people.

As a result, preventive check-ups and health promotion offers are underused, and early warning signs frequently go unnoticed.

Youth generate health data—but it is not used

Children and adolescents increasingly use smartphones, wearables, and digital tools that collect valuable information on:

  • physical activity,

  • sleep patterns,

  • well-being and mood,

  • screen time and daily routines.

However, this data is rarely used in a structured, ethical, and preventive way to support their health development.

Our Solution: PreNUDGE-CY for Youth Prevention

PreNUDGE-YC provides a secure and standardized platform for collecting and analyzing health-related data relevant to children and adolescents—always voluntary, age-appropriate, and privacy-preserving.

Through intelligent nudging strategies, the platform:

  • motivates young people to engage with their own health,

  • supports parents and caregivers,

  • assists professionals in education and healthcare.

The goal is early detection of risks and timely preventive action, not medicalization.

What PreNUDGE-CY Enables for Children and Youth

By integrating data from apps, questionnaires, and wearables, PreNUDGE-YC creates the foundation for:

Early and personalized prevention

  • Age-appropriate health recommendations (e.g., movement, sleep, nutrition, mental well-being)

  • Strengthened health literacy for children, adolescents, and families

  • Support for schools, pediatric care, and youth services

Ethics, Safety, and Trust

PreNUDGE-YC places special emphasis on:

  • data protection and privacy by design,

  • age-appropriate consent models,

  • transparent data use,

  • non-commercial, prevention-oriented goals.

Children’s data is handled with the highest ethical standards and is never used to stigmatize or penalize individuals.

Long-Term Impact

By focusing on children and young people, PreNUDGE-YC contributes to:

  • healthier transitions into adulthood,

  • reduced burden of chronic disease,

  • a more resilient and health-literate society.

Prevention starts early — and data can help guide it responsibly.
