About

Preventing mental health problems and improving the use of technology by children and young people is essential. This also helps to prevent social exclusion. As a university professor and doctor of psychologyin Spain, I am leading a selected research project on ‘Detecting variables that promote mental health and social inclusion among adolescents in Extremadura through technological applications.’ The contribution of educational psychology to this topic is fundamental. I would like to collaborate by providing access to adolescents (secondary schools) and young people (universities), with my knowledge of mental health and the impact of problematic internet use (high-impact publications) and experience in European projects (Horizon, Biodiversa, COST), and by bringing together technology companies and NGOs that work with young people and people suffering from social exclusion, in many cases related to mental health difficulties. I have international experience coordinating teams and, from the field of educational psychology, an interdisciplinary team (economists, psychologists, sociologists, teachers, communication experts) with the ability to promote the proper use of technology, develop effective digital learning and positive skills in the use of technology among adolescents and young people.
