Public Health Authority as Large-Scale Pilot and Implementation Partner for Horizon Europe Health Calls
Occupational Physician at Sincan District Health Directorate
Ankara, Türkiye
About
Sincan District Health Directorate is a public health authority based in Ankara, Türkiye, serving a population of approximately 600,000 residents, including a large proportion of children, adolescents and young adults, and coordinating preventive, primary and occupational health services.
The Directorate provides a strong real-life implementation setting for Horizon Europe Health projects targeting behavioural prevention, health promotion and trust-building among young people, particularly in relation to non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Our experience and interest align closely with calls focusing on:
-
Behavioural interventions for primary prevention of NCDs among young people
-
Health education, lifestyle change and physical activity promotion
-
Building public trust, outreach and engagement in the life sciences
-
Use of digital and e-health tools for prevention, navigation and follow-up
The Directorate has direct access to schools, families, workplaces and community settings, enabling early-life and youth-focused interventions, as well as outreach to vulnerable and underserved groups. This allows piloting and scaling of interventions addressing physical inactivity, unhealthy behaviours, smoking, cardiovascular risk factors and metabolic conditions from a prevention-first perspective.
We offer capacity for pilot implementation, population-based intervention delivery, monitoring and evaluation, and translation of research results into sustainable public health practice.
We are seeking to participate in Horizon Europe consortia as an implementation and pilot partner, contributing public sector expertise, access to large youth populations, and practical pathways for embedding research outcomes into real-world health systems.
