About
FISABIO (Spain) is a non-profit scientific and biomedical research organisation. Our Cancer and Public Health Research Unit has expertise in assessing the balance between the benefits and harms of cancer screening programmes, advancing knowledge in personalised screening strategies, and integrating social and gender equity perspectives into such programmes. Our core mission is inherently linked to mainstreaming equity in the field of cancer prevention and health promotion. To achieve this, we employ a comprehensive methodology that includes randomized controlled trials, the design of pilot interventions and protocols, and, the application of qualitative and participatory methodologies, including survey design. Finally, a cross-cutting focus of our work involves studying and enhancing population digital and health literacy to improve participation and outcomes in healthcare programmes.
