flexible, lightweight and semitransparent next gen PV panels
About
This project aims to advance the manufacturing and validation of flexible, lightweight and semitransparent next-generation photovoltaic panels based on organic photovoltaic (OPV) technology.
The work would focus on scaling materials and printing/coating processes toward industrially relevant manufacturing, producing larger-area prototypes, and validating performance, durability and integration under realistic operating conditions.
The objective is to bring the technology to a higher TRL and demonstrate its potential for applications where conventional rigid and heavier PV solutions are less suitable, including lightweight structures, building-integrated surfaces, windows and other emerging energy-harvesting applications.
