Bac3Gel is raising an investment round: in vitro mucosa models for microbiome R&D

Bac3Gel develops advanced biomaterials that reproduce the human mucus layer, the part of the mucosa that most in vitro models leave out.

Our products are on the market. Gut3Gel, Lung3Gel and Vag3Gel are sold to pharmaceutical, food and academic customers as research tools, and are distributed in Japan by Funakoshi.

Bac3Gel was founded in 2020 and is based at the Taguspark science and technology park, near Lisbon. We are currently raising an investment round to scale manufacturing and to grow commercial reach, including in Asia.

We would like to meet investors active in microbiome and preclinical tools, and corporate venture capital in pharmaceuticals and food.
