Event Overview

This international partnering event will bring together companies, research institutions and clusters from the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors in Europe and Japan.

By using this dedicated partnering platform, participants can interact directly with one another to efficiently arrange meetings with potential partners in advance, both online and at face-to-face, thereby creating new opportunities for business and research collaboration.

In addition to partnering meetings, the on-site event in Osaka will feature other networking opportunities such as pitch sessions and a reception.

What you can do on this platform

1. Browse profiles of registered companies, organisations and clusters

You can browse the profiles of  registered biotech-, pharma- and other related companies seeking partnerships. including their  therapeutic area, provided service or technology and desired areas of collaboration.

2. Pre-event communication and booking of meetings with other attendees

  • Send messages directly to companies of interest using the chat function
  • Use the meeting request function to arrange preferred dates and times and schedule meetings in advance

3. Register for other sessions at the on-site partnering event in Osaka, such as poster display, panel discussion and reception

  • Details on how to apply for the poster display,  short pitches at the reception will be sent to registered users of this platform in early September. Please register to the platform beforehand if interested in these opportunities. 
  • You can indicate your attendance for the various sessions (luncheon pitch, panel discussion and reception) at the time of registration. These settings can be modified from your account after registering.
  • Please note that speakers for the luncheon pitch will be selected by the event organisers.

Eligibility

Access to this platform is reserved for representatives of enterprises, research and educational institutions and other related organisations, that are active in the below target fields and located in the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo,  Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye, Moldova and Ukraine or Japan. (as of June 2026).

Profile Review

  • Organisers will review new registrants' profiles. Only organisations that meet the above target fields and eligibility conditions will be validated and admitted to the event.

Other important notes

  • Advance registration on this platform is required for participation in the on-site event in Osaka. On-the-day registration will not be possible.
  • It will not be possible to join any of the on-site sessions in Osaka remotely. Remote participants can only join online meeting sessions held in September.
  • The registration details you provide when applying will be used and shared between the organiser and co-organisers only to the extent necessary for the administration and operation of this event, in accordance with the Terms of Use of this platform (b2match). Subject to applicable laws and regulations, we may also use this information to provide you with information about related events and initiatives.

Organisers

The event is co-organised by the Osaka Prefectural Government, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation and the Enterprise Europe Network. It will be supported by various Bioclusters from Japan and Europe as well as by European Embassies and Trade Promotion Organisations in Japan.
