Ichnos Piedirosso Campi Flgrei dop
Owner at Azienda agricola Cantavitae
Marano di napoli, Italy
About
A native red grape variety from Campania. At 130 meters above sea level, it enjoys an enviable soil and climate, cultivated ungrafted using the Guyot system. Praised by Pliny the Elder, its name derives from the red color, like that of a pigeon's foot, that the shoot takes on when ready for harvest. The name Íchnos, as mentioned, means "imprint," and we refer to the characteristic of the rachis but also to the significance of the unique and unrepeatable marks left by each individual in their life.
