PIEMONTE SYRAH DOC "PARADISO"

The Paradise chapel, with its more than three hundred statues in clay and plaster, is the peak of the devotional path of the Sacred Mount of Crea. The group has a huge dramatic effect foreshadowing the dazzling inventiveness of the Baroque style and depicts even 175 angels lifting the Holy Mary up to heaven. A group of Saints, Prophets and angels musicians painted on the roof completes the scene.

The name of this wine is intended as a tribute to a place of outstanding universal value, that is an extraordinary evidence of faith, art, history and identity.

The wine is the result of a diligent selection of Syrah grapes and intends to be a local and typical interpretation of this international variety. After 12 months of refining in barriques and a second refining in bottles for at least eight months, the wine displays a deep ruby colour with violet shades. It is a very generous and balanced wine with a wide bouquet hinting at black pepper, raspberries and red-berry fruit jam. On the palate it is a very elegant wine, full-bodied and pleasantly astringent. The refining in barrels makes the tannins smoother. It can be served with red meat, venison and medium aged cheese.
