BARBERA DEL MONFERRATO SUPERIORE DOCG "1930 UNA BUONA ANNATA"

“1930 una buona annata” or English “1930 – a good vintage” is the result of a sophisticated work, starting from the choice of grapes coming from a beautiful vineyard with southern exposure, with a mixed, loamy soil, growing in trellis and cut according to the Guyot-system.

The production of wine and the fermentation are carried out in steel tanks, whereas the ripening process takes place partly in large barrels and partly in barriques. After this the wine rests another 12 months in bottles and shows a beautiful intense ruby red colour with bright purple shades, it opens with a wonderful scent with notes of red fruit and blueberry and closes with a warm taste of cocoa and cinnamon. In the mouth, the body is balanced, intense, stresses the historical tradition and has pleasant exotic notes.

It is a great Barbera with a distinctive personality that fits well with main dishes, red meat or mature cheese.
