About us

goal100.studio is a collaborative web GIS and project development platform for renewable energy in Germany, built by Goal100 GmbH in Hamburg. The platform connects public geospatial data, cadastral parcel and landowner management, and consolidated data on existing energy assets in one continuous workflow.

It serves two workflows on the same data foundation. The first is greenfield site development, from the first screening of a municipality to a contract-ready portfolio of parcels. The second is the sourcing and acquisition of existing and permitted projects, from identifying a target asset to understanding the company and ownership structure behind it.

Goal100 started as a non-profit initiative publishing open data on Germany's energy transition and still operates the public transparency monitor at goal100.org. goal100.studio is the operational tool built on that data foundation.

Data foundation

The Atlas currently covers 17 live data domains drawn from more than 60 official sources, each on a defined review and update cycle. These include ALKIS cadastral parcels from the state surveying authorities, the German market master data register (MaStR) covering all generation, storage and consumption assets, regional spatial plans from 16 planning authorities, protected areas and flood hazard zones, peat soils, natural regions, the digital landscape model, EEG payment and asset data from the transmission system operators, electricity grid and pipeline infrastructure, slope analysis based on Copernicus WorldDEM-30, and privileged and EEG-eligible corridors along railways and federal roads.

In addition, goal100 curates its own wind permitting dataset. It covers turbines in the permitting process and turbines holding an EEG auction award, including those that the market master data register does not yet list as operational, with procedure milestones and auction details.
