Ocean Cluster connection

Danish Ocean Cluster is based in Hirtshals, Denmark, and aims to strengthen the commercial relations within the blue sector. Our key focus is innovative and circular business thinking within or related to fishery, aquaculture, blue technology, energy and industry in the larger fishing ports.

We are convinced that an unleashed potential exists in building stronger commercial relations across the North Atlantic region. As such we are open to any company or organization interested in actively seeking new industrial symbioses for commercial as well as environmental benefits, and with an interest in increasing the value of the raw material utilizing 100% of the fish.

We care for sustainability in the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean as well as the financial viability of the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

Danish Ocean Cluster was founded by Port of Hirtshals and North Sea Science Park in 2023. Our members are Danish and international and the common ground is an understanding of the need to innovate and create new value chains in the future marine sector.  

Danish Ocean Cluster has major interest in expanding network connections to other European markets and potentially engage in EU projects in collaboration with clusters of similar profile and interest.
