I have worked at Brussels Major Events for 13 years, but for the last 5 years I have been responsible for implementing the sustainable transition of city events
Brussels Major Events, abbreviated BME, is a municipal non-profit organization whose general assembly and board of directors are composed, for more than half, of members of the Brussels City Council or members nominated by that council. It is chaired by the Alderwoman for Culture, Tourism, and Major Events of the City of Brussels. She, along with the Director and Deputy Director of the non-profit organization, are individually responsible for its day-to-day management. BME was established in March 2012. It is responsible for managing the content and organization of major events taking place within the City of Brussels, primarily in public spaces. The association's mission is to actively contribute to the development, promotion, enhancement, and influence of the City both nationally and internationally, integrating social, urban, sporting, and economic dimensions into all its activities. The non-profit organization responds to requests from the City of Brussels as an organizer, co-organizer, or facilitator, offering its expertise to private and public stakeholders.
