Kveloce

Kveloce is an international consulting firm oriented to the scientific and research community, specialising in the most prestigious and excellent existing programs. With a skilled academic-scientific profile team, we have developed our own research lines in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, focusing on providing research capabilities on a wide range of topics. Our approach to Social Sciences and Humanities is evidence-based, practical, and strongly aligned with real-world challenges and EU R&D policy frameworks.

With over 20 years of experience in enabling KVELOCE’s projects, the team possesses a strong, high-level scientific-technical background, extensive international experience, diverse skills, and a multidisciplinary approach. The research activities are the following:

•             Safe and sustainable by Design (SSbD) and impact assessment: Kveloce evaluates the impact of projects and initiatives (social, economic, and well-being) based on multidimensional frameworks, enabling the definition of roadmaps to foster replication and scalability by design. In this sense, Kveloce´s methodology is based on evidence-based quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods, for instance, Social Life Cycle Assessment (SLCA) and Life Cycle Costing (LCC). Sustainable by Design frameworks: within a broader SSbD concept, we focus on providing practical guidance and tools to make well-informed decisions based on economic and social indicators, collaborating with technical researchers and experts in environmental and safety evaluation.

•             Public and stakeholder engagement - MMA: Kveloce designs citizens’ participation strategies and stakeholder mapping aimed at reinforcing the engagement of the relevant actors in different innovation sectors, including environmental and circular projects, climate-neutral services and products, health and policy research. Kveloce also provides guidelines and supports local entities in co-designing, piloting, and assessing initiatives/solutions in real settings. These are based on participative approaches involving all stakeholders of the related value chain (Multi-Actor Approach-MAA) and the quadruple/quintuple helix of innovation. At the regional and local levels, we collaborate in developing and implementing participatory processes in cities and regions, serving as experts in evaluating and optimising these approaches.

•             Ethics, RRI and DMP in research projects: Kveloce ensures ethical compliance and robust data management in research projects involving external stakeholders, delivering all necessary documentation, such as ethical frameworks, data management plans (DMP) and informed consent forms. Kveloce also promotes the principles of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) throughout the project lifecycle, guiding partners and monitoring activities to align science with societal values and expectations. We also oversee gender and diversity aspects in the implementation of research projects.

•             Societal readiness, consumer acceptance & behavioural change: Kveloce identifies consumer needs and perceptions at each stage of the solution development, identifying business models and applying the most effective strategies to successfully engage users with the innovative service, product or approach. Kveloce develops and applies behavioural change strategies (with special attention to vulnerable groups) to promote healthier lifestyles and contribute to more environmental responsible consumer behaviours. Kveloce also considers Societal Readiness Level (SRL) approaches to address different societal needs and concerns to increase the societal and market uptake of the project's results.

•             Scientific and policy communication, capacity building and citizens science: Kveloce leads Communication and Dissemination (C&D) strategies combining scientific and societal C&D activities. We work to raise awareness and deliver policy recommendations to leverage the knowledge acquired in the projects and provide policy and decision makers with evidence-based knowledge for best informed decisions. We co-design personalised training pathways for capacity building programmes for specific challenges (health, climate change, circular economy) and target groups, including vulnerable groups (older people, women, minorities). Kveloce implements Citizen science activities in research projects.
