MANTRA - Driving Sustainable and Innovative Manufacturing
MANTRA is an EU-funded initiative designed to support 50 manufacturing SMEs in their green, digital, and social transformation journey. The project focuses on accelerating the adoption of sustainable innovation by providing funds and tailored, hands-on support to companies operating in key industrial sectors such as food, ceramics, textiles, plastics, metal, and machinery.
Through MANTRA, SMEs gain access to funding of up to €50,000, along with a comprehensive set of support services aimed at strengthening green, digital, and social transformation. The project also offers technological matchmaking with tech-savvy solution providers active in a comprehensive portfolio of 16 enabling technologies such as (IoT, XR, advanced manufacturing…)
MANTRA builds a collaborative ecosystem by fostering connections between SMEs, technology providers, research organisations, and innovation ecosystems across Europe. By enabling knowledge exchange and access to advanced technologies, the project supports companies in scaling sustainable solutions that enhance competitiveness while responding to evolving regulatory and market demands.
Ultimately, MANTRA empowers manufacturing SMEs to turn sustainability challenges into concrete innovation opportunities, supporting long-term resilience, growth, and alignment with Europe’s green and digital transition goals
AMALTEA - Revolutionizing the Façade Value Chain through AI, Data & Robotics
The Horizon Europe project AMALTEA is pleased to announce its 2nd Open Call, scheduled for publication in Q3 2026. We invite innovative European SMEs and start-ups to join us in streamlining the curtain-wall façade lifecycle from design and manufacturing to installation and recycling by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Robotics to reduce energy use, waste, and resources while increasing safety.
Scope and Opportunity: This call aims to select up to 15 third-party projects to develop and test novel technological solutions that address critical challenges in the construction sector. Applicants can submit proposals under two specific Funding Instruments:

Software Solutions: Focused on digital services, AI algorithms, and data interoperability tools for façade applications. Selected projects may receive up to €100,000.

Hardware Solutions: Focused on robotic systems, sensors, and innovative devices for off-site or on-site applications. Selected projects may receive up to €200,000.
Key Challenges:Proposals should address specific technical challenges defined by the consortium to bridge gaps in the current value chain, including:

Manufacturing: Solutions for robotic welding and sealing inspection, and adaptive control systems for process flexibility.

Installation: Technologies for real-time building monitoring, robot positioning, and collision/interference detection in unstructured environments.

Recycling: Advanced sensors and systems for the identification and sorting of façade components.
