Green Elephant Biotech is a biotech company working on one very practical problem: how to scale adherent cell processes without making them unnecessarily complex. Many advanced therapies still rely on adherent cells, but existing production technologies often force teams to change their biology just to fit the equipment. Green Elephant Biotech takes a different approach.

The company developed the CellScrew®, a dynamic 2D cell culture system that allows adherent cells to be grown and produced at scale while keeping the conditions researchers and process developers are already familiar with. Instead of switching to suspension or highly complex fixed-bed systems, teams can scale their processes using the same biological principles from early development through GMP manufacturing.

The CellScrew is used across R&D, clinical, and commercial production, for example in viral vector manufacturing, cell therapies, and other adherent cell–based applications. It is designed to fit into existing facilities, reduce hands-on work, and keep processes robust and reproducible.

Green Elephant Biotech combines biological understanding with engineering-driven thinking. The team’s philosophy is simple: stop forcing biology into old technologies, and start building technology around biology.
