Research & Innovation for Climate-Friendly Mobility Systems
Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) - Institut für Verkehrsforschung
Berlin, Germany
About
The DLR Institute of Transport Research develops innovative solutions to shape the mobility systems of the future. Our work focuses on creating transport systems that are economically viable, socially inclusive, and climate-friendly. Using an interdisciplinary and system-oriented approach, we analyse and design new mobility solutions for both passenger and freight transport. Our research covers areas such as electromobility, digital and on-demand transport services, integrated mobility systems, and new public transport models. We also investigate the socio-economic impacts and societal acceptance of emerging mobility concepts to ensure that new transport solutions are practical, scalable, and beneficial for society. By combining technological innovation, policy analysis, and system modelling, we support the transition towards more sustainable, efficient, and resilient mobility systems in both urban and rural environments. We are interested in collaborating with research institutions, companies, public authorities, and innovation partners working on sustainable transport, smart mobility, and climate-friendly infrastructure.
