AI Tool Supporting Regenerative Farming for Smallholder Farmers
Founder & CEO at Zierra
Mexico City, Mexico
About
Zierra is an AgTech startup developing an AI-powered solution that makes regenerative farming accessible and profitable for smallholder farmers in emerging markets. Delivered entirely through WhatsApp, the platform provides farmers with personalized, actionable agronomic guidance directly within their existing communication tools — eliminating the need for new apps, training, or complex technology. By meeting farmers where they already operate, Zierra lowers the barriers to adopting sustainable agricultural practices. The platform supports farmers in implementing regenerative techniques that improve soil health, reduce dependency on costly inputs, increase climate resilience, and strengthen long-term farm profitability. With more than 400 active farmers already using the platform and a growing waitlist, Zierra is demonstrating that sustainable agriculture can scale when accessibility and usability are prioritized. Zierra’s work contributes to more resilient food systems, lower agricultural emissions, and improved livelihoods for smallholder farmers. We are seeking collaborations with organizations working in sustainable agriculture, climate finance, food systems innovation, and nature-based solutions, particularly partners active in Europe and emerging markets.
