Linkkit is an innovative bioinspired design project combining textiles and 3D printed trimmings to empower users to create their own garments, accessories and home decor without requiring sewing machines or garment construction knowledge. Designed as a genderless and ageless "textile LEGO," Linkkit is based on the innate ability to interlock objects. The project repurposes textile waste, leftovers, and pre loved garments to create a sustainable ecosystem of modular pieces. Its digital manufacturing approach leverages accessible, globally available technology, enabling the establishment of decentralized factories worldwide. This reduces transportation emissions, supports regional economies, and minimizes landfill waste. It promotes environmental stewardship and circular economy principles, ensuring long term value creation. By fostering user well-being, it enhances fine motor skills, concentration , and stress management through hands-on engagement.
