Innovation in the Textile field - Wearable BioTextile made with food waste
About
As a senior fashion designer and researcher, I am actively seeking innovation within the textile industry. My focus has been on exploring sustainable approaches to utilize waste materials in one of the most pollution-intensive sectors. Given that the core philosophy of MUSAE revolves around 'food as medicine,' I believe there is a natural synergy between our values and objectives.
Through my research, I have identified several promising and innovative strategies that I am eager to develop further. Notably, my work was recognized when I won a bio-inspired design contest hosted by the University of the Arts London. Additionally, I have applied to the Worth Partnership Project and am honored to be selected as a finalist. I see MUSAE as a significant opportunity to continue advancing and refining my project.
I am enthusiastic about the prospect of collaborating with like-minded individuals who share a passion for sustainability, innovation, and creativity in the Textil/Tech industry. Together, I believe we can make a meaningful impact and contribute to a more environmentally conscious future.
