El poble en 3D: an interactive 3D map of your town, with a back-office for the council

El poble en 3D turns a town's public information into a map citizens can actually read.

What citizens see

• The town in 3D on real terrain and real buildings (open data from the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia), in the browser, on mobile and desktop, with nothing to install.

• Works in progress, road closures, incidents and municipal notices, placed where they happen.

• More than 400 places and zones of the town (facilities, shops, parks), with address, phone and opening hours.

• The local agenda of events.

What the council gets

• A back-office to publish and update everything without technical help.

• Open source (MapLibre) and open data, so a new town does not have to be drawn by hand.

• Hosted on AWS.

Status: working demo for Sant Feliu de Codines (Barcelona). We are looking for town councils and supra-municipal bodies that want to pilot it, and for partners working on tourism routes and outdoor information.
