Bulancak Municipality is a key public authority located in the Eastern Black Sea region of Türkiye, managing a complex landscape that spans from coastal urban areas to high-altitude rural terrains. As a local government, our primary responsibility is to ensure urban resilience, public safety, and sustainable infrastructure for our citizens.

Our core operational mandates include disaster risk management (flood, landslide, and seismic preparedness), urban planning, environmental protection, and the provision of essential public services. Beyond traditional governance, we host a dedicated Technical Projects Unit that bridges administrative authority with scientific innovation. We serve as an 'End-User' in international consortia, providing real-world pilot sites, large-scale data sets, and institutional support for testing and validating cutting-edge civil security and disaster recovery solutions.
