Solid-State Thermal Management for High-Density Defense Electronics & Radar Systems

About

Next-generation defense systems—from electronic warfare (EW) suites to advanced radar and edge-computing racks—are hitting a "thermal wall." Traditional cooling systems are too heavy, too loud, and prone to mechanical failure under extreme conditions.

CEDRION offers its patented Ionic Wind technology to solve these critical bottlenecks in European Defense Fund (EDF) and Horizon Europe projects:

  • 10x Weight Advantage: We replace heavy, passive aluminum heat sinks with active ionic systems, enabling a radical reduction in the SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) footprint of mission-critical hardware.

  • Zero Mechanical Vibration: Crucial for sensitive electronic sensors and signal processing units where mechanical fans introduce electromagnetic or physical noise.

  • Maintenance-Free Reliability: No moving parts means the cooling system matches the mission life of the equipment, even in high-vibration environments or sealed enclosures.

  • Acoustic Stealth: 100% silent operation, removing the acoustic signature of cooling systems in command centers or tactical units.

  • Active vs. Passive Efficiency: We achieve significantly higher heat transfer coefficients than passive cooling while using a fraction of the energy of traditional fans.

Strategic Goal: We are seeking to join consortia led by Tier 1 Defense integrators to provide the "thermal engine" for the next generation of Secure Communications, Electronic Warfare, and Tactical Edge Computing.
