About

We propose developing an mobile application designed to enhance disaster preparedness, awareness, and engagement among younger generations and vulnerable groups. It will have the following features:

1. Gamified Education & Interactive Learning

The app will deliver age‑appropriate, gamified training modules covering climate‑related disasters, health emergencies, and everyday preparedness.

  • Mission‑based learning paths

  • Real‑life scenario simulations

  • Rewards, badges, and progress tracking
These elements boost motivation, risk perception, and behaviour change, contributing to enhanced awareness before, during, and after crises.

2. AI‑Powered Chatbot for Guidance & Crisis Support

A multilingual, youth‑friendly AI chatbot will provide:

  • On‑demand explanations of hazards

  • Step‑by‑step preparedness tips

  • Behaviour guidance during simulated or real events

  • Emotional support and signposting to local resources
This ensures continuous engagement and promotes self‑efficacy in disaster response.

3. Community Participation & Youth‑Led Contributions

The platform enables youth‑driven content creation, simple citizen‑science data collection, and local risk‑mapping challenges.

  • Users can report observations, join community resilience missions, and co-create best practices
This ensures active inclusion of youth perspectives and supports community‑based resilience building.
