Piemonte ALBAROSSA DOC anno 2020 "FOGLIO 16"

In 1930, Prof. Dalmasso studied and created a series of crosses. Fifty years later, Prof. Mannini of the C.N.R. in Turin realised Prof. Dalmasso's studies. Among these is Albarossa, a variety obtained by crossing Nebbiolo and Barbera.

Albarossa is a grape variety that requires dry soil on sunny hillsides, with calcareous soils rich in microelements. The clusters are compact. The berries are rich in sugars, polyphenols and anthocyanins, with a balanced acidity.

An ideal wine for roasts, boiled meats and cheeses.
