APOSTROFO '58 - MONFERRATO D.O.C. NEBBIOLO 2021
Owner at Az. Vitivinicola F.ratelli Facchino
ROCCA GRIMALDA, Italy
About
"Apostrofo 58" was born from the idea of experimenting with growing and vinifying pure Nebbiolo in an area where the most common red grape varieties are actually Dolcetto, Barbera, and Albarossa.
From these varieties, with careful vineyard management, thanks to the unique characteristics of the Ovada terroir, wines of great structure and longevity are produced.
So why not try to enhance the characteristics of one of Piedmont's most long-lasting grape varieties, which, in addition to its great structure, is capable of expressing great elegance?
The palate is full-bodied and presents very pleasant, enveloping, and elegant tannins. Its persistence leaves a pleasantly clean mouthfeel, requiring another sip to discover the complex array of sensations unleashed by its continuous evolution in the glass.
35% is aged for 36 months in low-toasted French oak barriques and 65% for 36 months in 500-litre low-toasted French oak tonneaux.
