Catarratto 2024
Titolare at Vini Mallia
Pachino, Italy
About
Produced by Terramalia in the Maccari district of Pachino, this wine is a pure expression of one of Sicily’s oldest and most traditional native grape varieties.
Grown in Alberello vineyards close to the sea, on calcareous and sandy soils, Catarratto benefits from excellent sun exposure and constant marine ventilation, which help preserve its natural freshness and minerality.
It shows a pale straw yellow color. The nose is elegant and delicate, with notes of citrus, fresh herbs, white flowers and subtle mineral nuances.
On the palate, it is crisp, fresh and balanced, with lively acidity and a clean, persistent finish.
This wine reflects a traditional yet modern interpretation of Catarratto, highlighting its elegance and strong territorial identity.
Food pairing: light appetizers, seafood, vegetables and fresh cheeses.
