About

Project Concept

Our project aims to transform marinas from fragmented waste-management infrastructures into connected, predictive and secure circular economy hubs.

The project will develop and demonstrate a Digital Circular Intelligence Ecosystem integrating Internet of Things technologies, an operational Digital Twin, Artificial Intelligence, secure blockchain-enabled traceability, Digital Material and Asset Passports, a B2B circular marketplace, citizen-science and engagement tools, a Circular Reputation Index and finance-ready sustainability reporting.

Our project adopts a Marina–Hinterland approach. It connects marina operators with recyclers, repairers, manufacturers, municipalities, port authorities, local businesses, citizens, boaters and financial stakeholders. Although the demonstrator will initially focus on marinas, the architecture will be designed for subsequent replication in commercial and inland ports, island communities, coastal tourism destinations and other resource-intensive industries managing dispersed material and equipment flows.
