From CDW to High-Value Circular Lightweight Construction Solutions
About
The collaboration aims to transform undervalued construction and demolition waste streams, together with selected recycled materials, into new high-value circular construction solutions.
This is not another recycling project. The ambition is to develop lightweight, non-structural solutions that can be validated at pilot or industrially relevant scale and create new opportunities in renovation, filling applications, lightweight construction and related uses.
The project will connect real material streams, technical development, pilot validation and market access. For partners, this means an opportunity to create value from materials that currently have limited use, contribute to the development of new products and position themselves in an emerging value chain for circular construction materials.
The team can contribute through:
-
characterisation and quality control of secondary raw materials,
-
development and evaluation of lightweight, non-structural circular materials,
-
testing of technical performance and durability,
-
LCA and LCC for environmental and economic assessment,
-
technical documentation supporting future market uptake.
We are looking for partners able to contribute in one or more of the following areas:
-
access to CDW streams, recycled mineral materials or selected polymer streams,
-
collection, sorting, pre-treatment or recycling of materials,
-
pilot-scale or industrial production capacity,
-
demonstration applications in real projects or use environments,
-
access to construction companies, public authorities, end users or first buyers,
-
commercialisation and development of new markets for circular construction materials.
The objective is clear: to turn waste into reliable solutions, solutions into pilot applications, and pilot applications into a real business opportunity.
