Green Fashion Score: enabling full circularity in textiles

Green Fashion Score is a digital scoring system designed to make sustainability in fashion transparent, actionable, and engaging. It evaluates garments based on key criteria such as materials, environmental and social impact, and circular practices like repairability, resale potential, and recycling.

Through a simple visual interface—integrated via QR codes on garments or embedded in e-commerce platforms—consumers can instantly access trustworthy information to make more responsible choices. At the same time, brands receive a practical tool to communicate their sustainability efforts, strengthen customer loyalty, and comply with upcoming EU regulations on eco-design and digital product passports.

The project supports small and medium-sized fashion brands in their transition to circular economy models, offering not just evaluation but also connection to services such as product take-back, donation, repair, and resale. Green Fashion Score promotes circularity across the product life cycle and contributes to climate goals by reducing textile waste and promoting more conscious consumption habits.

Currently in pilot phase with 10+ brands, and backed by a network of 400 sustainable fashion partners, Green Fashion Score is building the infrastructure for a more transparent and circular fashion industry.
