Acerca de

IMDEA Water (MEMTECH group) offers sustainable membrane processes to treat wastewater streams from the textile industry and to recover valuable compounds. We offer second generation membranes that can be implemented in urban and industrial wastewater treatment. Following the circular economy approach we recycle end-of-life reverse osmosis membranes (waste) and transform them into recycled ultrafiltration and nanofiltration membranes (product). The recycled membranes have been validated at pilot scale showing excellent performance in comparison to commercial membranes, offering a sustainable and green alternative to commercial membranes in wastewater treatment.

We also offer membrane based hybrid systems that allow a more efficient treatment of wastewaters with a high removal of COD by membrane bioreactors and an excellent dye and heavy metal recovery by ultra and nanofiltration membranes.
