Computational chemical engineering at TU/e: GPU-accelerated particle-resolved simulation, fast reactor models, and AI-assisted verified model building, seeking to join an MSCA Doctoral Network 2026, incl. the RAISE "AI in Science" opt-in.
At Eindhoven University of Technology, we are dedicated to fostering innovation and advancing knowledge in engineering and technology. Our vibrant community of students, researchers, and industry partners collaborates on cutting-edge projects that address real-world challenges. We take pride in our multidisciplinary approach, which encourages creativity and interdisciplinary research. Together, we are shaping the future by developing sustainable solutions and inspiring the next generation of engineers and technologists.
Associate Professor of Computational Chemical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (NL). My group builds open-source simulation software that bridges detailed multiscale simulation and fast reduced-order models for the design, optimisation and digital twins of chemical processes: the peclet suite (GPU/MPI multiphase CFD, CFD-DEM, pore-network modelling) and pymrm (multiphase reactor modelling). See https://github.com/computational-chemical-engineering. Application areas: reacting particles with evolving morphology (hydrogen direct reduction, iron-powder regeneration), fluidised and packed beds, hydrogen and electrified process technology. Current thrust: AI-enhanced closures and verification-gated, AI-assisted development of scientific models.
TU/e (NL) offers to join an MSCA DN 2026 as modelling partner: GPU particle-resolved simulation, fast reactor models and AI-assisted verified model building for hydrogen processes, reactive particles and reactor digital twins. RAISE AI-in-Science ready.
