I am Head of the Institute of Plant Protection Research “Agrihorts” at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU). I coordinate research projects and contribute expertise in experimental methodology, project planning and financial management. My international work focuses on digitalisation and precision agriculture.
I lead LBTU’s work in the international HEALTHYTOMATO project, which explores the use of data and digital decision support in greenhouse tomato production. At Agrihorts, we have facilities for plant trials under controlled environmental conditions and experience using a hyperspectral camera that captures data across a broad spectral range.
LBTU Agrihorts seeks MSCA Doctoral Network partners for hyperspectral imaging and biological treatments in greenhouse crops. We offer controlled-environment trials and seek expertise in plant physiology, biocontrol and spectral data analysis.
