Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) or also known as Sultan Idris Education University , located in Tanjong Malim, Perak, is Malaysia's premier public university dedicated exclusively to leadership in education, pedagogy, and teacher training. Tracing its historical roots back to 1922 as the Sultan Idris Training College (SITC), UPSI has evolved into a leading research-informed institution driving educational excellence and digital learning transformation across Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region. Core Research & Academic Strengths UPSI is at the forefront of modernizing education through interdisciplinary innovation, focusing on: Educational Technology & AI (EduTech/AIED): Pioneering human-centric AI applications, generative AI integration in classrooms, digital pedagogy, smart learning environments, and learning analytics. Pedagogy & Curriculum Design: Advanced research in STEM/STEAM education, TVET, early childhood education, special education, and cognitive science. Digital Transformation & Policy: Investigating digital literacy, academic integrity, and educational governance across emerging Asian markets. Infrastructure & Living-Lab Facilities UPSI provides state-of-the-art research ecosystems, including specialized digital learning laboratories, smart classroom testbeds, and national-level research centers (such as the National Child Development Research Centre - NCDRC). These facilities enable real-world piloting, empirical validation, and cross-cultural evaluation of emerging EduTech tools and learning frameworks. International Collaboration & EU Project Readiness UPSI actively engages in global research partnerships, academic exchanges, and capacity-building initiatives. As a fully accredited public higher education institution with an active Participant Identification Code (PIC), UPSI offers European consortia: An operational ASEAN Living-Lab for field testing and validating European AI and EduTech solutions in Asian educational settings. I am a University Lecturer and Researcher in Malaysia specializing at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Educational Technology, and Digital Learning Transformation. My research focuses on responsible AI adoption in higher education, generative AI pedagogy, and human-centric EduTech design. As an international partner, I provide European consortia with an ASEAN living-lab testbed to validate EduTech tools, cross-cultural datasets on digital literacy and AI ethics in emerging markets, and full institutional backing with an active PIC code..
