Founded in 1993, the University of Almería (UAL) is a dynamic and modern public institution located on the Mediterranean coast, actively contributing to the European Research Area through international collaboration. Miguel Rodriguez-Arrastia is an Associate Professor in Nursing at the University of Almeria (Spain) and a member of the CARE360 research group. His PhD in Health Sciences, combined with a Master's in Nursing and a Master's in Education, underpins three interconnected research lines: AI applied to healthcare, innovation in nursing education, and patient safety.
His publication record spans 43 JCR-indexed articles (h-index 17 Scopus; 39.53% D1, 69.76% Q1), covering clinical simulation, chatbot-based learning, and nursing management. He currently serves as Academic Editor for the Journal of Nursing Management and has participated in European, national, and regional research projects, including an Erasmus+ initiative and AI-focused grants co-financed by the FEDER Andalusia Programme.
Strong international ties include research stays at the University of Southampton (UK) and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal), alongside sustained collaborations across Europe and Latin America. He is currently open to supervising MSCA Postdoctoral Fellows, particularly in projects combining AI, clinical simulation, and healthcare education.
