About me

I’m Associate Professor of Fluid Mechanics and a researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The present focus of my research activity is on the subject of heat transfer between a fluid and a solid in a packed bed used for thermal energy storage. I am involved in the co-leadership of a project which is based on the technology of Pumped Thermal Energy Storage (PTES). This is one of the potential solutions that may assist in the transition to a low-carbon energy system. The project has facilitated the implementation of an experimental prototype of a PTS system in the laboratories at UPM.
