Researcher focused on innovative, interdisciplinary work. Seeking MSCA partners to co-develop a competitive proposal and build international collaboration.
The TeLL research group investigates how digital technologies—including artificial intelligence, deep learning, speech technology, and digital storytelling—transform second language teaching and learning. Our approach is interdisciplinary and data-driven, integrating oral and written corpora of European languages to examine real-world language use in educational, professional, and academic settings. We apply advanced speech and multimodal technologies to analyse corpora of commercials, advertisements, and communicative interactions, exploring their relevance for professional communication, language learning, and public engagement. Our work includes collaborations in speech recognition research, with a special focus on prosody, intonation, pronunciation, and human–machine interaction. The group also develops and evaluates technology-enhanced pedagogical models, investigating the efficiency, effectiveness, and learning impact of digital tools in language education. By identifying structural, informational, and design issues in digital teaching and learning resources, we propose evidence-based improvements aimed at both individual and institutional users. TeLL’s applied dimension extends to the design of specialised software and training resources in collaboration with telecommunications companies, educational institutions, and professional training centres. Our goal is to advance innovative, inclusive, and high-quality language learning through technology.
I am an applied linguist whose work focuses on the analysis of speech and prosody in second language learning, bilingual education (CLIL), and the integration of social sustainability into language pedagogy. I explore how technology-enhanced environments and adaptive forms of feedback can support learners’ communicative and intercultural development. My recent projects also engage with digital innovation and collaborative, socially responsible approaches to language education.
