Institute of Physical Chemistry “Ilie Murgulescu” welcomes MSCA Postdoctoral fellows and MSCA exhange staff participants to join our research team which covers a diversity of research fields such as surface chemistry and catalysis, : kinetics, electrochemistry and corrosion, material science, colloidal chemistry, coordination and supramolecular chemistry, soft matter for biomedical applications. About me
I am leading research in catalysis, photocatalysis, and nanomaterials for environmental remediation and sustainable energy. Trained in physical chemistry at the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, I earned my PhD in Chemistry in 1996. With a scientific career spanning over four decades my expertise lies in catalytic processes for green energy production, water and air depollution, and the synthesis and surface characterization of functional nanomaterials. I had numerous international research appointments, one example being at the Tokyo Institute of Technology contributing to collaborative work in chemical engineering and advanced materials.
I coordinated national research projects on photocatalytic water treatment and eco-nanotechnologies, and I had contributions to international grants. His scholarly output includes book chapters, a substantial body of peer-reviewed articles, and patents.
