PhD fellow at PROIMI–CONICET, studying native Trichoderma spp. isolates as biological control agents and phytostimulants for sustainable agriculture

My organisation

Our research focuses on the development of microbial-based biocontrol and phytostimulant agents as eco-friendly alternatives to agrochemicals. We isolate and characterize native microorganisms capable of protecting citrus fruits and stimulating plant growth. In parallel, we study the citrus microbiome and plasmidome to understand the structure and dynamics of microbial communities. This allows us to explore the ecological and functional roles of both culturable and unculturable microorganisms. Overall, our work aims to provide the agricultural industry with sustainable tools to reduce product losses, promote organic practices, and enhance our understanding of microbial ecology in agricultural systems.
