Supervisor/PI in Immunology and Inflammation and dietary metabolites

Ashok Kumar Kumawat

Associate professor, Senior Lecturer at Örebro University, School of Medical Sciences

Örebro, Sweden

About

I specialize in immune mechanisms underlying intestinal and cardiovascular inflammation, including the role of the dietary metabolite trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) in cardiometabolic inflammation. My translational research spans experimental and clinical studies and integrates immunophenotyping with proteomic, transcriptomic, epigenomic, and functional analyses. I have experience supervising PhD students and postdoctoral fellows and am interested in collaborating with international consortia in MSCA Doctoral Networks, providing structured training and mentorship in cutting-edge translational immunology.
