About
The University of Hull (UoH) is committed to supporting outstanding candidates for the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships. Our approach is focused and strategic: we aim to attract globally competitive proposals aligned with the work of UoH researchers in established, world‑leading groups and clusters. We encourage project ideas that reflect the UN Sustainable Development Goals to ensure research relevance and societal impact. To strengthen mentorship, we are also inviting mid‑career researchers to join our pool of potential supervisors alongside senior colleagues.

Why Hull?
MSCA fellows hosted at UoH join a vibrant, internationally connected research community. Fellows benefit from close supervision, access to global networks, alignment to high‑impact research themes, and opportunities that often lead to joint publications, policy engagement, and career‑defining collaborations.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome expressions of interest from researchers with a maximum of eight years’ post‑PhD experience, including recent graduates demonstrating evidence of independent or semi‑independent research (e.g., contributions beyond the PhD, publications, and funding applications). Applicants should be prepared for a highly competitive and detailed application process.
Please note that the University of Hull actively encourages applications for the MSCA European Postdoctoral Fellowships only.
Key Dates
The Sixth MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Call opens 9 April 2026 and closes 9 September 2026.
Register Your Interest
If you plan to apply and wish to be hosted by the University of Hull, please submit an expression of interest to your chosen supervisor by 20 April 2026.
Include your research area and a brief outline of your proposed project, explaining how it aligns with the MSCA aims and fits within the University’s key research themes.
Late enquiries may be considered from exceptional candidates with particularly strong or relevant profiles.
Successful candidates will be invited to engage in a programme of support activities hosted by the University of Hull. These will include online training sessions and a visit to the Hull campus to meet their prospective supervisor and participate in seminars and in‑person writing workshops.
