Education and Science Governance for Research Excellence

The proposed doctoral network will investigate how education governance, higher education policy, and science management can enhance institutional performance, research effectiveness, and societal impact. It will bring together universities, research institutions, and policy stakeholders to examine evidence-based policymaking, research assessment, research evaluation, scientific productivity, and innovative governance models.

The network will promote interdisciplinary doctoral research, international collaboration, and the exchange of good practices across European and international higher education and research systems. Particular attention will be given to the relationship between institutional autonomy, accountability, research funding, academic careers, and national and European research priorities.

Through joint training, collaborative research, and knowledge exchange, the network aims to develop a new generation of researchers equipped to analyse education and science systems and contribute to more effective, transparent, and sustainable policies and management practices.
