Seeking to join MSCA Doctoral Networks 2026 in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology

I am looking to join MSCA Doctoral Network 2026 proposals currently under development as an academic beneficiary and doctoral candidate host at the University of Milan.

I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary networks in drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, molecular pharmacology and innovative therapeutic modalities, where our expertise in molecular design and synthetic medicinal chemistry can complement biological, pharmacological, structural, technological or translational research.

Areas in which our group could contribute include:

• design and synthesis of bioactive small molecules
• medicinal chemistry and ligand optimisation
• chemical probes and molecular tools
• targeted protein degradation, PROTACs and induced-proximity approaches
• photopharmacology and molecular photoswitches
• light-responsive therapeutic strategies
• structure–activity relationship studies
• interdisciplinary drug-discovery projects

I would be particularly interested in hearing from MSCA-DN coordinators or consortia that are already being assembled and are looking for complementary medicinal chemistry or chemical biology expertise, as well as from academic, clinical and industrial partners interested in developing new collaborative doctoral training projects.

Our group can contribute not only research expertise but also doctoral supervision and advanced training in medicinal chemistry, synthetic chemistry and chemical biology.

I am also open to discussions aimed at developing future MSCA Doctoral Network proposals beyond the 2026 call.
