Seeking Collaboration for MSCA Doctoral Networks in Power and Energy Systems

Evangelos Pompodakis

Assistant Professor at Hellenic Mediteranian University

Heraklion, Greece

About

I am an Assistant Professor at the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), Greece, and I am interested in establishing collaborations for MSCA Doctoral Networks and related European research initiatives.

Our research activities focus on modern power and energy systems, including power system modelling, stability and control, renewable energy integration, power electronics and converter-dominated systems, smart grids and microgrids, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, energy storage systems, and energy management.

We are particularly interested in joining existing consortia currently preparing MSCA Doctoral Network proposals, while we are also open to contributing to the development of new collaborative project ideas.

HMU could contribute as an academic partner through doctoral supervision, research and training activities, modelling and simulation, development of advanced control and energy management methodologies, and collaboration with academic and industrial partners.

Potential research directions include:
• Stability and control of converter-dominated power systems
• Integration of renewable energy and energy storage
• Smart EV charging and vehicle-to-grid technologies
• Hydrogen integration and multi-energy systems
• Smart grids, microgrids and energy communities
• Advanced modelling and simulation of future power systems
• AI and digital technologies for power and energy applications

I would be pleased to connect with coordinators, universities, research organisations and industrial partners interested in developing or completing MSCA Doctoral Network consortia.
