Power Electronics and Clean Energy Systems Expertise for MSCA Collaboration

Arman Fathollahi

Professor at Aarhus University

About

Aarhus University is interested in contributing to MSCA Doctoral Networks and Staff Exchanges as an academic beneficiary/partner in the areas of power electronics, Power-to-X, hydrogen technologies and future energy systems.

My research expertise covers power electronics and power-converter control, Power-to-X and hydrogen electrolysis technologies, renewable-energy and grid integration, energy storage, converter-dominated power systems, grid stability, power quality, advanced control, digital twins, electric-vehicle power electronics and thermal management.

I can contribute to collaborative research activities covering modelling, design and control of power-electronic converters; system-level modelling and analysis; integration of renewable energy, electrolysers and energy-storage systems; grid-stability and power-quality studies; flexibility and energy-management strategies; digital-twin development; thermal-management analysis; and experimental validation.

Experimental work can be supported through available facilities for power-electronics and system-level power-system studies, including Power-to-X Lab testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, as well as thermal-management experiments. These capabilities support research from modelling and control development to experimental and system-level validation of advanced energy and power-electronic systems.

For MSCA Doctoral Networks, I am interested in contributing as an academic beneficiary through doctoral supervision, research training, secondments, experimental activities and the development of interconnected PhD research projects.

For MSCA Staff Exchanges, I am interested in research and knowledge exchange between academic and industrial partners, including researcher mobility, joint research activities, experimental collaboration, training and technology transfer.

I would be pleased to connect with coordinators, universities, research organizations and industrial partners developing MSCA proposals where Aarhus University's expertise in power electronics, Power-to-X and hydrogen electrolysis, renewable-energy integration, energy storage, grid interaction, advanced control, digital twins and experimental validation could strengthen and complement the consortium.
