Seeking to join MSCA Doctoral Network 2026 as UB beneficiary

I am interested in joining a well-developed and intellectually coherent MSCA Doctoral Network for the 2026 call through the University of Barcelona as a beneficiary, ideally recruiting and supervising one Doctoral Candidate.

I am particularly interested in consortia addressing migration and borders, urban inequality, housing and planning, public space and policing, Islamophobia, racialisation, racial capitalism, citizenship, institutional discrimination, digitalisation, AI and algorithmic governance.

Potential doctoral research themes I could contribute include urban bordering through housing and planning; algorithmic classification and urban governance; policing, Islamophobia and public space; racial capitalism and urban redevelopment; institutional Islamophobia; and everyday experiences of borders, citizenship and inequality.

Beyond doctoral supervision, I would be interested in contributing to or leading defined tasks or work packages in areas such as qualitative and comparative methodology, urban governance, migration and bordering, Islamophobia, racial capitalism, inequality and racialisation, and the societal dimensions of digitalisation and AI.

Where relevant to the consortium, participation of the Observatori d’Antropologia del Conflicte Urbà (OACU) could also be explored for activities related to urban ethnography, public engagement, civil-society collaboration, training, dissemination and knowledge exchange.

I am especially interested in consortia where these themes are central to the research and training architecture rather than peripheral additions.
