Personalised Prevention and Lifestyle-Based Healthcare Innovation for Chronic Diseases

Oksana Mykytyuk

About

Our research group is dedicated to developing innovative healthcare approaches that improve the prevention and management of chronic non-communicable diseases through personalised, patient-centred and evidence-based strategies.

Our research integrates clinical medicine, cardiovascular science, chronobiology, lifestyle medicine, behavioural epidemiology and digital health to better understand how everyday behaviours influence disease risk, progression and treatment outcomes. Rather than focusing on individual risk factors, we investigate the complex interactions between biological rhythms, sleep, physical activity, nutrition, behavioural patterns, environmental influences and psychosocial determinants across the life course.

A central objective of our work is the development of personalised preventive approaches that identify modifiable behavioural profiles and translate them into practical interventions for patients and populations. We are particularly interested in innovative, non-pharmacological strategies that improve cardiovascular health, metabolic health, healthy ageing and long-term quality of life while supporting sustainable healthcare systems.

Our team has experience in clinical research, population-based epidemiology, health behaviour assessment, chronobiology, cardiovascular prevention and the development of multidimensional health profiles. We combine medical expertise with behavioural science to support precision prevention, patient stratification and the design of interventions that are feasible in routine clinical practice.

We are interested in collaborative projects addressing innovative healthcare interventions, lifestyle medicine, circadian medicine, digital health, behavioural change, patient empowerment, multimorbidity, healthy ageing, cardiovascular prevention, implementation science and artificial intelligence for personalised healthcare. We can contribute to epidemiological and clinical studies, intervention development and evaluation, patient-reported outcomes, dissemination, education and stakeholder engagement.

Based in Ukraine, our group brings experience in conducting research within healthcare systems facing significant societal challenges while maintaining a strong focus on prevention, resilience and patient-centred care. We welcome collaboration with universities, hospitals, research institutes, public health organisations, SMEs and industry partners committed to developing innovative healthcare solutions for chronic diseases.
