Transport and mobility: the use of engineering methods and technologies to support planning, operation, and optimization of transportation systems, including intelligent traffic management, sustainable mobility solutions, autonomous vehicles, and multimodal transport integration for efficient and eco-friendly movement of people and goods.

Industrial innovation and applications: the use of engineering methods, technologies, and algorithms across industry, manufacturing, and everyday life. This includes automation and robotics for improved productivity, predictive maintenance enabled by AI and IoT, additive manufacturing (such as 3D printing) for flexible production, and the use of digital twins to simulate, monitor, and optimize processes.
