Advanced Thermoanalytical Tools and Green Solvent Systems for Food and Biomass Valorization

Eduardo Esperanca

Postdoctoral Researcher at University of São Paulo

Sao Carlos, Brazil

About

As a postdoctoral researcher in Food Engineering with a multidisciplinary background in Chemical Engineering, I offer advanced expertise in thermodynamic modeling, thermal analysis (DSC), and the development of Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) for sustainable extraction processes.

My research focuses on the valorization of food and agricultural waste through green solvent-based technologies, promoting circular economy solutions. I have over 10 years of academic and experimental experience in lipid crystallization, cholesterol behavior in mixed lipid systems, and equilibrium modeling using both experimental and computational methods (Python, MATLAB).

I can contribute to Marie Skłodowska-Curie projects that aim to:

  • Develop green extraction methods using NADES

  • Apply thermal characterization (DSC) to novel food systems

  • Optimize phase equilibria for bio-based processes

  • Combine sustainability, innovation, and data-driven modeling

I am also open to co-developing research proposals with European institutions aligned with sustainable process engineering, bio-based materials, and food system resilience.
