UNITE JIP Call 1: Digital Innovations Advancing More Personalised and Human-Centric Remote Care

Funding manager at ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR SMART MANUFACTURING APPLICATIONS - AISMA SRL

Milano, Italy

About

AISMA, based in the Lombardy region and lead partner of an interesting Artificial Intelligence project focusing on nutrition for cancer patients—in collaboration with researchers from Universities and IRCCS in Lombardy—is seeking 2 project partners.

Project: Intelligent Nutritional Systems for Integrated Guidance of Health Trajectories (INSIGHT)

Abstract & Vision

The INSIGHT project aims to create and validate AI-driven predictive models to optimize the nutritional pathway of oncology patients. The oncological nutritional journey is not a straight line, but an unstable trajectory. Therefore, the project’s objective is not merely to take a snapshot of the patient's current status, but to utilize AI solutions to predict their "metabolic curve" and suggest course corrections (nutritional interventions) before a metabolic crash occurs. The Paradigm Shift INSIGHT represents a transition from "reactive" to "predictive" clinical nutrition. We aim to transform hospital data into anticipatory clinical decisions that significantly improve patient survival rates and Quality of Life (QoL).

The Core Consortium

The project core is driven by a Lombardy-based partnership (Italy), with AISMA (SME innovative start-up specialized in AI solutions) and IRCCS San Matteo (Hospital & Research Center) acting as the Technology Provider & Clinical R&D Leader.

Partners Profile

We are seeking two specific partners to complete the consortium:

Partner 1: The "VALIDATOR" (End-User: Oncology)

Target Location: Widening Countries / Moderate Innovators (e.g., Central Macedonia, Romania, Extremadura).

Role: Replicate the observational study on a local cohort of cancer patients; validate the adaptability of the INSIGHT model in resource-constrained settings; verify data interoperability with local legacy systems.

Partner 2: The "SCALABILITY TESTER" (End-User: Cross-Domain)

Target Location: Strong Innovation Regions / Innovation Leaders (e.g., Zealand, Northern Netherlands, Scotland).

Role: Cross-Domain Testing (apply the INSIGHT AI architecture to a non-oncological cohort requiring nutritional monitoring - e.g., Neurology, Geriatrics, or Multiple Sclerosis patients); Scalability Analysis (evaluate how the predictive model can be transferred from oncology to Chronic Care Management to produce a comprehensive "Scalability Report."
